- 1.5 sheets of gelatin
- 85g dark chocolate
- 120g milk
- 15g sugar
- 150g heavy cream
- A few strawberries for garnish
- A bit of chocolate for garnish
🍳 Instructions
- Soften the gelatin
Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5–10 minutes until fully softened. - Prepare the chocolate
Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl. - Heat milk & cream
In a saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (do not boil). - Add gelatin
Squeeze out excess water from the softened gelatin and add it to the hot mixture. Stir until completely dissolved. - Melt the chocolate
Pour the warm milk mixture over the chopped chocolate in 2–3 additions, stirring gently each time until smooth and fully melted. - Strain and chill
Strain the mixture through a sieve for a silky texture. Pour into cups or molds and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until set. - Decorate
Top with fresh strawberries, chocolate shavings, or any garnish you like before serving.
💡 Tips
- No need to whip the cream – this method creates a naturally smooth and creamy mousse.
- For best results, use chocolate with 60–70% cocoa for deep flavor.
- Straining the mixture removes lumps and gives a professional finish.
