These smooth, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate truffles are simple to make and perfect as a gift for special occasions.
With the richness of couverture chocolate, the creaminess of fresh cream, and the aromatic hint of Grand Marnier, every bite offers a touch of elegance.

📝 Ingredients (makes about 15–20 pieces)

  • 70g milk couverture chocolate
  • 70g dark couverture chocolate
  • 70g heavy cream
  • 14g trimoline (or honey)
  • 15g Grand Marnier

👩🏻‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate
Finely chop the milk and dark couverture chocolate and place them together in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat the cream
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and trimoline over low heat until it just begins to bubble around the edges.
  3. Make the ganache
Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 1–2 minutes. Then gently stir until the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
  4. Add the liqueur
Once the ganache is well combined, add the Grand Marnier and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Chill the ganache
Transfer the ganache to a container, cover, and refrigerate for 3–4 hours or until firm.
  6. Shape & finish
Scoop the chilled ganache and roll it into small balls.
Coat them with a thin layer of tempered chocolate, then finish by evenly dusting with cocoa powder.

💡 Tips

  • If you don’t have trimoline, you can substitute with honey or corn syrup, though the texture and sweetness may vary slightly.
  • For variations, try coating with matcha powder, freeze-dried fruit dust, or crushed nuts.
